An exercise to manifest your intentions and create the life you want

This exercise is one of Deepak’s Chopras simplest-to-master techniques help you move into a space of recognizing miracles in your life vs. drowning in a sea of seemingly disconnected, haphazard, and meaningless events.

The fact is, people who are really successful at manifesting their intentions and creating the life they want with ease, share two important qualities:

  1. They are not attached to how things should turn out.
  2. They remain patient about the fulfillment of their desires, trusting the universe to bring results.

This detachment from outcomes doesn’t come naturally to most of us. But it is something we can learn!

Here’s Deepak’s simple-to-master detachment technique you can try today:

When you go to bed tonight, before you fall asleep, try practicing Recapitulation — a method for reviewing in your mind’s eye the events of the day.

Imagine that you’re witnessing everything that happened, as if you’re watching a movie. See yourself waking up in the morning, brushing your teeth, having breakfast, driving to work, conducting your business, coming home, eating dinner, and so on.

It’s important that you don’t analyze what you see, or evaluate, or judge . . . just watch the movie.

You may even find you notice things that you weren’t aware of as they were happening. For instance, you might see someone who was trying to get your attention, which you missed in the busyness of the moment. Or maybe you’ll hear or understand something a friend said to you differently than you did during the actual conversation. It’s amazing the things that show up in the movie of your day that you may not have consciously noted during the day itself.

As you recapitulate, be sure to observe coincidences. And pay special attention to anything that is a departure from the norm. Take note of the things that upset your plans or took you off the trajectory you think you’re on. Even the absence of events that you expected to happen can be clues to the intent of the universe.

Try this process each night for a few nights in a row. Then begin to look for patterns. Notice if you typically have a hard time getting out of bed in the morning or if you feel drained after a day at work. These are important signals that there must be a way to get more fulfillment out of life.

In fact, a miracle could be waiting in the wings — one that you’ll only experience when you learn to form an intention, become sensitive to clues from the universe, follow the chain of coincidence, and begin to co-create the destiny you most desire.
